2006 Election Results
Minnesota Women Break Records!

Amy Klobuchar will join Congresswoman Betty McCollum in Washington, D.C. as Minnesota's first woman U.S. Senator. Here in Minnesota, Lori Swanson will be sworn in as the first woman Attorney General and Rebecca Otto as only the third woman State Auditor. MWPC PAC is proud to have supported all three women in their races.

And it doesn't stop there, the 2007 Minnesota Legislature will break records on all fronts with six additional women elected to office in the November 7 election. Five seats were gained in the House of Representatives where women hold 31.3% overall and one seat in the Senate with 40.3%. Overall, 34.3% of the state legislature is held by women. Not only is these the highest percentage of the legislature held by women, but also the most women elected to each body in a general election.

Of the MWPC PAC legislative endorsed candidates, 80% candidates were successful, in addition to two county candidates and one school board candidate.
